How to Remove: Slide the filter cassette out of the the machine. Gently remove the filter from the cassette.
Standard Filter: Both the 900 and 900c come standard with a washable prefilter. Next, rinse the prefilter with water to clean any dirt or buildup that has accumulated. After rinsing, shake to dry. Alternatively, you can vacuum the prefilter to clean it.
Filter Upgrades: With the 900 and 900c, you also have the option to upgrade to a MERV-8, carbon, or HEPA filter. The MERV-8 filter is washable, using the same methods as the prefilter. In addition, there is an option to use a carbon or HEPA filter, neither of which is not washable. Simply check these filters for build up and replace as needed.
